PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Redwood River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan

The Redwood River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan Policy Committee, including the counties of Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone and Redwood; the Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) of Lincoln, Lyon, Pipestone and Redwood; the cities of Ghent, Marshall and Redwood Falls; the Redwood-Cottonwood Rivers Control Area (RCRCA) and Area II Minnesota River Basin Projects (Area II), is holding a Public Hearing at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Lyon County Government Center – Commissioners Room at 607 W. Main, Marshall, MN 56258. The Public Hearing will be in regard to the draft Redwood River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan.

Information will be presented regarding the draft watershed plan for the Redwood River Watershed, which covers portions of Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine Counties. This Plan was out for a 60-day Formal Review from August 1 – September 30, 2025. Any interested person is invited to attend the hearing and submit comments, written or verbal, that will become part of the official public hearing record.  These comments will be considered when making final revisions to the Plan. Written comments will also be accepted in writing by October 31, 2025, addressed to Kerry Netzke at 1424 East College Drive, Suite 300, Marshall, MN 56258, or via email to kerry.netzke@rcrca.com.  Your name and address must be included with your comments to be accepted.

A hard copy of the draft plan is available upon request at the Redwood SWCD office located at 1241 East Bridge Street, Suite C, Redwood Falls, MN during regular business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
