2026 Environmental Fair - Day 2

  • Lyon County Fairgrounds 504 Fairgrounds Rd Marshall, MN, 56258 United States (map)

It’s time to register your students for the 2026 Environmental Fair! This year the event is planned for September 22nd and 23rd, 2026.

We have a few notes to share with you about the 2026 Fair.

  • NEW TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL FAIR? The Environmental Fair has been in existence and offered to thousands of students since 1992.  If you are a first-time attendee, please go to SW MN Environmental Fair to learn more!

  • LOCATION: The Fair will be hosted at the Lyon County Fairgrounds, 504 Fairgrounds Road, Marshall MN.

  • COST: There is no cost for your students to participate in the Environmental Fair; however, you will need to supply your own transportation to/from the event and bring sack lunches for your students and staff.

  • REGISTRATION:  Registration Form‍ ‍Please return your completed form no later than APRIL 30th, 2026.  Be sure to indicate class size (smaller than 25), arrival and departure times, and your preferred day. Your registration form can be emailed to Redwood SWCD at Susie_T@RedwoodCounty-MN.org

  • WHO SHOULD REGISTER:  We are asking each TEACHER/CLASSROOM to register.  We hope this will give EVERY teacher the opportunity to review the information; receive the updates and reminders; and make the most of the Environmental Fair.

Please coordinate with your fellow teachers before completing registration so that all classes from your school select the same day, arrival time, and departure time. If you teach multiple classes, fill out a registration form for each class/group. Please try to keep the group sizes to under 25 students. Keep in mind, each class/group MUST have a teacher with them at the fair.

Please note that many of the 20+ presentations/activities are repeated year-to-year.  Keep this in mind when deciding to send only 6th grade students or both 5th and 6th grade students. We can’t guarantee that your students will not see a duplicate presentation from the previous year if you choose to take the same group of students for two consecutive years.  It also isn’t possible to change your group’s schedule once you arrive.

Please complete registration NO LATER THAN April 30, 2026.  It takes months of planning to accommodate the large number of students that attend each year. Therefore, late registrations will NOT be accepted.

If you have any questions, please call the Redwood SWCD Conservation District at 507-637-2427 Ext. 3 or email Susie _T@RedwoodCounty-MN.org
