For the ninth consecutive year, Redwood SWCD is involved with six other southwestern Minnesota Soil and Water Districts and the Board of Water and Soil Resources to plan and host a conservation day for women landowners and operators. This year we are having this day in June.
The day provides the women and opportunity to further their knowledge of conservation programs in a safe, non-threatening environment, while providing fun and fellowship with other women landowners to share ideas and concerns. Different topics are addressed each year. The location moves around within the participating counties.
The Women's Day event is a collaborative effort of SWCDs in Cottonwood, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood and Yellow Medicine counties and the Board of Water and Soil Resources.
