Rain Gauge Program
Redwood SWCD, in cooperation with the State Climatologist Office, enlists individuals across the county to collect rainfall data.

All SWCDs in the state select individuals every 12 miles across the state to collect this data.  The data is forwarded to the State Climatologist Office to collect and record average rainfall data for the entire state.

Present rain gauge holders include: Ervin Runck, Lamberton; Donald Johnson, Walnut Grove; Richard Boettger, Springfield; Tom Daub, Wabasso; Mike Appel, Milroy; Gary Hammerschmidt, Morgan; David Swedzinski, Milroy; and RCRCA, Redwood Falls.
